Dominique Moore Professional 'Acting For Screen' Workshop

The Dominique Moore Acting Workshops are for young people aged 8-18 who are passionate about acting and would like to learn more.

This 3 day intensive, professional ‘Acting For Screen' workshop is led by expert acting coach Dominique Moore who has more than 20 years stage and screen experience, gaining her first professional acting job at the age of 9. In addition to her successful acting career, Dominique has delivered many popular and ground breaking acting workshops and masterclasses across the UK. Dominique will also be joined by industry professional guests including top Directors, Producers and Casting Directors from the TV & Film Industry.

Attendees can expect to develop and enhance their performance and technical skills during this 3 day workshop. There will also be a session for parents focusing on producing high quality ‘Self-Tapes’.

At the end of the 3 days, attendees will receive an official certificate of completion and individual feedback from Dominique and each industry professional guest.

You will get a better understanding of how to:

• Improve your Screen Acting skills in front of the camera. Film, view and analyse your screen performances.

• Develop the ability to interpret a screenplay and deliver truthful cinematic performances using 'current' scripts.

• Learn advanced screen acting techniques.

• Explore the physical, emotional and intellectual ranges of a character necessary for screen performances.

• Enhance understanding of: Feature length Film, Short Film, TV drama, TV Comedy & Animation for TV and Film.

• Focus on understanding your casting possibilities and make the most of them to stand out in an audition.

• Gain an insight into the technical requirements of working in front of a camera along with preparation for being on set.

• Self taping. There will be a session for parents on how to produce high quality audition self tapes.

When: Thursday 31st August -Saturday 2nd September 2017 (Attendance on all days compulsory)

Time: 10am-4pm

Age: 8-18 years

Venue: The Umbrella Rooms, 239-241 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8EH

Fee: £150 (per person) plus booking fee

Travel arrangements: We will be arranging for Chaperones to meet attending students at mainline stations for those parents that are unable to come to the venue. Details to follow.

Attendance is by AUDITION ONLY.

How to audition:

To audition please send a tape to: workshops@dominiquemoore.co.uk with the email subject marked clearly as – DM Workshop audition tape (insert auditionee's name)

Each tape must include:

Name, age, agent (if applicable)

Poem/Monologue/Scene (Duration 1 minute max.)

If you are successful you will recieve an email with a 'PROMOTIONAL TICKET CODE' to register your place on the workshop.

What can I bring into the event?

Comfortable clothing is essential.

A packed lunch and water is necessary for each of the 3 days.
